About

Hi! I'm Dr. Myisha, and I'm glad you're here.

Deciding you're ready for counseling can be a difficult decision to make, and finding a counselor who's the right fit for you can be all the more challenging. Here's some info about my training and approach to help determine if you'd like to take the next step toward healing, transformation, and discovering your authentic self. I have 20+ years of experience in the mental health and education sectors. Currently, I'm a core faculty member of Counseling & Psychology at Lesley University and the CEO/Founder of Third Veil Consulting®. Most recently, I earned a PhD in Counseling & Psychology (also from Lesley University) with a concentration in Transformative Leadership, Education, and Applied Research. There, I explored employee well-being to better understand the impact of systemic oppression on workplace trauma. With 10+ years as a licensed mental health clinician, I have worked with people of all races/ethnicities, genders, sexualities, and most age groups. Currently, I seek to create healing spaces for BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ individuals ranging 18-55 years of age. In my practice, I create non-traditional healing spaces using embodied techniques as a certified trauma specialist. I leverage Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice and am a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) practitioner. Given my professional narrative has been crystallized through the arts, I leverage expressive arts techniques to round out my work.
